Grocery Eye
Q2 2026

Our Q2 2026 Grocery Eye report explores the views of 4,500 consumers across the UK, Europe and North America to uncover what is really driving grocery decisions – from the shelf and the till to the screen.

In this edition, we explore why shopper loyalty is becoming harder to earn, how technology is reshaping the way people shop, and why value means more than simply finding the lowest price. We also dig into what consumers really want from the grocery experience, why the human element still matters, and how brands and retailers can build relationships that go beyond the best price on the shelf.

Grocery Eye has been providing a snapshot of UK consumers every quarter since 2014, and globally since 2026.

It summarises and highlights the views of consumers from across Europe and North America (UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, the Nordics, US and Canada).

Over the course of the year, the report covers grocery shopping behaviour with a focus on four key topics: healthy eating, technology, sustainability and retail media.

Grocery Eye reports aim to understand audiences and explain today’s views and behaviours to better anticipate tomorrow.
